School facilities

Read about the facilities we have for students to use in our school.

Performing Arts Room

Our school has a performing Arts room, which is used to conduct specialist Arts lessons for all students. It is equipped with a variety of musical instruments, including guitars, pianos, drums, and ukuleles. Emily Greenhalgh is the specialist teacher. Major invents include wakakirri for Year 5 and 6 students and rehearsing class items for the end-of-year Gala celebration.

Oval

Our oval is fully fenced and equipped with a running track, cricket nets, a cricket pitch in the middle, a playground, soccer goals, football goals and a set of swings.

Gymnasium

The gym is currently under construction but will include a full basketball court, kitchen, toilets, and offices. It has heating and cooling, so it can be safely used throughout the year.

Playground and Gardens

We have two playgrounds that provide a fun outdoor learning environment. One is on the oval, and the other is on the courts with a sandpit. On the west side of the main building, we have a nature garden where students can build, climb, and explore the garden in a fun and playful way. We also have a community garden on the grounds that a volunteer looks after. Classes and the community are encouraged to use the garden to plant and use the produce.

Library

Our library is well stocked with the latest novels and graphic books. It features a breakout space for classes to use for research-based learning. Classes book a time to visit the library to borrow books. It is also open during lunchtime and some before school.

STEM Lab

Our STEM Lab is two classes in size. It is a space for classes to use to build and make solutions for their STEM projects. It is equipped with 3D printers, a laser cutter, robotic equipment, iPads and Laptops.
